May 4: The Come to Mary's House retreat will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Temple. Filled with reflections and brief imaginative sequences, this retreat invites participants to imagine they are with the Blessed Virgin. May 5: The Spanish and English Divine Mercy Cenacles will host a celebration honoring the 50th ordination anniversary of Father Bruce Nieli at 7 p.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Divine Mercy Center in Dale. All are invited. Details: inezreyesmary@yahoo.com.

May 6: On the first Saturday of each month, Father Kevin Rai will lead Marian Mornings from 8 a.m. to noon at St. Elizabeth Parish in Pflugerville. May 12: The 11th annual Christ Child Society Evening for the Ladies-Roaring 20s will be held at 6 p.m. at St. William Parish Evangelization Center in Round Rock. The evening will open with social time and appetizers followed by a delicious dinner and desserts. May 13: The third annual Scouting Family Faith Retreat will be held at Eagle’s Wings Retreat Center in Burnet. The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting will host this retreat for all families and scouts in Girl Scouts, American Heritage Girls, Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Trail Life USA, Troops of St. George Scouters, or anyone wanting to learn more about scouting. May 20: The Call, a discernment event for single men ages 15 to 45, will be held at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Cedar Park. Participants will attend the ordination to the transitional diaconate, then discuss how God may be calling them to the priesthood. This event is free, but please register at austinvocations.com.

May 20: Bishop Joe Vásquez will ordain one seminarian to the transitional diaconate at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Cedar Park. Details: austinvocations.com.

June 2-7: Summer Silent Retreat will be offered at Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Temple. Spend two to five nights in quiet prayer with others desiring to draw closer to Jesus. Mass, talks, centering prayer, devotions, confession and Eucharistic Adoration will be part of the retreat led by Father Harry Dean and Brian Egan. June 10: The diocesan Vocations Office will host a Diocesan Holy Hour for Vocations at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis Parish, 7601 Burnet Rd. in Austin. All are invited to pray for vocations to the priesthood. Details: austinvocations.com.

June 16-18: A women’s weekend retreat, entitled If You Want to Walk on Water, You Must Get Out Of The Boat! will be offered at Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Temple. The Lord continually calls us to step out in faith and to trust him as Peter did. There is something within us that tells us there is more to life than sitting in the boat. July 7-9: Quo Vadis, a weekend away with the Lord and with other young men who love him, will be offered by the diocesan Vocations Office.
