On June 11, Bishop Joe Vásquez ordained Fathers Samuel Bass, Jakob Hurlimann and Fernando Ricaud to the priesthood. Bishop Daniel Garcia, formerly auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Austin and now bishop of Monterey, California, joined Bishop Vásquez for this joyous ordination. Father Bass has been assigned parochial vicar of Santa Cruz Paris in Buda. Father Hurlimann has been assigned parochial vicar of St. Mary Cathedral in Austin.
