Bishop Daniel Garcia celebrated Mass at the annual conference for the Austin Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW) March 16-17 in Round Rock. During his homily, Bishop Garcia encouraged the 150 women present to trust in God and to surrender to him.

After the Mass, he joined the attendees to recognize priests who marked milestone anniversaries of their priesthood. Bishop Garcia was also presented a check from the Clerical Endowment Fund for $211,412.15. The fund, established in 1948, has contributed $5.6 million to educate seminarians in the Diocese of Austin.
