The Senior Class of 2025 of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Taylor grew in wisdom and virtue. They had a 100% college acceptance rate, including acceptance to schools such as Notre Dame, Texas A&M, and Ave Maria, with a special academic honor for Kolbe Barta as a National Merit Scholar Finalist. The seniors served throughout the community. Four of them were prefects for the high school house system, and they served as liturgical choir members, altar server team leaders, Young Apostles in the parish youth ministry, and captains of sports teams. In March they walked in the footsteps of saints on a pilgrimage to Rome with other students from the national Chesterton Schools Network. The Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship (TCAF) selected Tyler Zimmerhanzel for both their First Team All-State Offense and First Team All-State Defense teams for the 2024 football season.
