OCT. 17: Father Jakob Hurlimann and the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting will host the Walking in Faith Hike beginning at 10 a.m. at the Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Temple. Grounded in St. Ignatius of Loyola’s Rules of Discernment participants will learn how to identify movements of consolation and desolation, understand how discouragement can cloud clarity and begin to distinguish what is truly from God versus what is pulling us off course.

NOV. 10: St. John the Evangelist Parish in Marble Falls will host Healing, Hope and the Love of Christ. Confession will be available at 5:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m., followed by a brief personal witness, an opportunity to venerate a first-class relic of the True Cross of Jesus Christ, and individual prayer with trained prayer teams in both English and Spanish.

NOV. 13: St. John Vianney Parish in Round Rock presents David Kauffman in concert at 7 p.m. Kauffman is a Catholic songwriter, recording artist and composer of many ACTS retreat songs. The concert is free with a free will offering taken up to support his ministry.

NOV. 14: Austin Vocations will present Treasures of the Faith for young, unmarried women ages 16 to 35. Sister Silvia Tarafa will offer tools to discern and live out the vocation the Lord calls you to.
