SEPT. 3: St. Joseph Parish in Bryan hosts a Holy Hour for Vocations on the first Thursday of each month following the 6 p.m. Mass. All are welcome!


SEPT. 5: Father Kevin Rai leads Marian Mornings on first Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon at St. Elizabeth Parish in Pflugerville. The morning includes Mass, a teaching, prayer time, silence and time for the sacrament of reconciliation.


SEPT. 5: St. Joseph Parish in Bryan hosts First Saturday Devotions, which follow the 8:15 a.m. Mass each first Saturday of the Month.


SEPT. 5: St. John Neumann Parish in Austin hosts a Mass for Vocations at 8:45 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month.


SEPT. 5: St. Mary Church of the Assumption in Waco hosts a Mass and Holy Hour for Vocations on the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. All are welcome!


SEPT. 5: St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Austin hosts a Filipino Mass on the first Saturday of the month at 4 p.m. Fellowship follows the Mass at the Parish Activity Center. All are invited to bring a dish to share. Come and join us and meet your kababayan!


SEPT. 6: Sts. Cyril and Methodius Parish in Granger will host its annual Bazaar from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the parish hall. The day will begin with Mass at 10 a.m. followed by fun for all ages. Barbecue and sausage plates will be served for $15 per plate. The live auction will begin at 1:30 p.m. The evening will conclude with a dance ($10 per person entry fee).


SEPT. 6: St. John in Fayetteville will host its annual Picnic on the parish grounds. The day begins with Mass (including Polka music) at 10 a.m. Barbecue beef, pork and sausage plates will be served beginning at 10:30 a.m. The country auction begins at 1:30 p.m.  Games, music and other activities will continue throughout the afternoon.


SEPT. 7: Diocesan offices will be closed for Labor Day.


SEPT. 7: St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in College Station hosts a Holy Hour for Vocations on the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the main church. All are welcome!


SEPT. 11-12: A diocesan conference on Our Lady of Guadalupe will be held at St. William Parish in Round Rock. The conference will include presentations on the meaning and the evangelization power of the symbols encrypted on St. Juan Diego's tilma, and a group discussion on continuing God's message in our communities.

SEPT. 12: Praying with Voice, Mind and Heart will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Mercy of God Prayer Center on the St. Thomas More Campus in Austin. The day includes a light breakfast and lunch. Donation is $45.

SEPT. 19: St. John Parish in Fayetteville hosts a Holy Hour for Vocations on the third Saturday of each month following the 7:30 a.m. Mass. All are welcome!


Sept. 20: Santa Barbara Parish in Austin will host its Fall Festival from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the parish grounds. Come and enjoy a day filled with delicious food, great music and wonderful community time. Bring your family and friends!


SEPT. 20: Holy Trinity Parish in Corn Hill will host its annual Bazaar on the parish grounds. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. A meal of barbecue and fried chicken will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be live polka music during the meal, children's games, live and silent auctions and kolaches for sale. Hamburgers will be available at 2:30 p.m. Enjoy a day of good food and fun for the whole family!


SEPT. 25: La Misa de Jóvenes Adultos es una Misa mensual que hacemos todos los últimos Viernes de mes en la Iglesia de Santa Barbara en Austin. El evento incluye el rezo del Rosario a 7 p.m., la Santa Misa, un tema relevante, y termina con un convivio. La Misa de Jóvenes Adultos es una gran oportunidad para conocer a otros jóvenes y crecer en la fe. ¡Todo jóven entre 18-35 años está invitado!

Sept. 25-27: St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in College Station will host its annual AquinasFest. The fun begins with games on Friday night, and continues Sunday morning, with indoor and outdoor games/events for all ages, a live auction, a silent auction, and great food!


SEPT. 26: Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Temple will present When Love Calls for Limits from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Forgiveness is at the heart of our faith, but it was never meant to leave us defenseless. Karen May will lead a retreat for those navigating painful or harmful relationships who are ready to discover that freedom can be found in faithful forgiveness and that love itself sometimes calls us to set limits. The cost is $50.

SEPT. 26: The Diocesan Scout Recognition Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. John Vianney Parish in Round Rock.

SEPT. 27: St. Martin of Tours Parish in Tours will host its annual Picnic from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.


SEPT. 29: The annual Blue Mass, which honors all law enforcement officers and first responders, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Louis King of France Parish in Austin.

OCT. 1: Bishop Daniel Garcia will celebrate the diocesan Red Mass at 6 p.m. at St. Mary Cathedral in Austin. All judges, lawyers, public officials, law faculty and law students are encouraged to attend. A ticketed dinner featuring the Honorable Leslie H. Southwick, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, will follow.

OCT. 4: St. Mary Parish in San Saba will host its annual Fall Festival at 504 W. Wallace in San Saba. Come enjoy food, entertainment, games, a silent auction, country store and more. Festivities begin at noon. All are invited for fun and fellowship.

OCT. 4: The Georgetown Life Chain event will begin at 3 p.m. on Williams Drive across from Crestview Baptist Church. Supporters will stand for one hour to support the life of the unborn. Bring a folding chair if needed. Water and pro-life signs will be provided.


Oct. 11: Church of the Visitation in Westphalia will host its 119th Picnic on the parish grounds. There will be a meal, live auction, baked goods, crafts and games for all ages.


OCT. 17: Father Jakob Hurlimann and the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting will host the Walking in Faith Hike beginning at 10 a.m. at Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Temple. All Scouts, scouting families and scout leaders are invited to join Father for a 5-mile hike on our journey to be apostles of faith. Bring your own lunch and water bottle.

OCT. 17: The Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Schoenstatt in Austin will host its Feast Day Celebration beginning with Mass at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to enjoy family activities and fellowship throughout the afternoon.


OCT. 24: Triumph of the Cross, Discalced Carmelite Seculars will host Living in the Presence of God at Santa Rosa de Lima Parish in Andice. Father Raul Reyes, OCD, will lead the morning, which begins with Mass at 8 a.m. and will conclude at noon. Breakfast is included and all are welcome.
