MARCH 2: St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in College Station hosts a Holy Hour for Vocations on the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the main church. All are welcome!
MARCH 7: St. John Neumann Parish in Austin hosts a Mass for Vocations at 8:45 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month.
MARCH 7: St. Mary Church of the Assumption in Waco hosts a Mass and Holy Hour for Vocations on the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m.
MARCH 7: A Filipino Mass is celebrated on the first Saturday of the month at 4 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Austin. Fellowship follows right after the Mass at the Parish Activity Center. It’s a potluck dinner, so please bring a dish to share. Come and join us and meet your kababayan!
MARCH 7: All are invited to The Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Schoenstatt to pray the rosary by candlelight at 7:30 p.m. The rosary will include meditations, songs, and will end with a short candlelight procession. Plan to stay afterward for refreshments and social time!
MARCH 14: Attention young women between the ages of 14 and 35: Chosen is an informational event about consecrated life at St. Mary Cathedral in Austin. Sister Silvia Tarafa will host this day, which will include Mass, prayer, talks and small group conversations with other women discerning their vocation.

MARCH 16-17: The annual Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW) will host their annual convention at the Embassy Suites in Round Rock. This year’s theme is “Speak, Lord, Your Servant is Listening.” The program will include topics for women of all ages. Bishop Daniel Garcia will celebrate Mass on Monday afternoon and a banquet will follow.

MARCH 18-22: The Father’s Heart Silent Retreat for young adults (ages 18 to 35) will be offered at Eagle’s Wings Retreat Center in Burnet. This five-day retreat into the silence of prayer, reflection and rest is the perfect opportunity for young adults to leave behind the noise and chaos to hear the heartbeat of God. Based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, this retreat will include teaching on prayer and discernment of spirits, followed by three days of silence with individual spiritual direction and daily conferences.

MARCH 21: Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Temple will host a day of reflection entitled Praying with St. Monica for our Children from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. What can we learn from St. Monica, who displayed great strength and faith, praying for 30 years that her husband and son (St. Augustine) would embrace the Catholic faith after choosing a different path? Our adult children sometimes drift away from the practice of faith. This day retreat offers strength to continue praying and growing stronger in the virtue of hope. The day will include Mass and lunch.

MARCH 25: The faithful throughout the Diocese of Austin are invited to collectively make or renew our Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary at Mass on the feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. Rosary and Mass will be offered on March 25 at 6 p.m. at St. Mary Cathedral in Austin; at 11:45 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in College Station; at 5 p.m. at Holy Family Parish in Copperas Cove; and at 11:30 a.m. (English) and 6 p.m. (Spanish) at St. Helen Parish in Georgetown.

MARCH 28: Se ofrecerá Recibir sanación interior de 9 a.m. a 3:30 p. m. en el Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center en Temple. Jesús vino a sanar física, emocional y espiritualmente: ayudando a los ciegos a ver, a los cojos a caminar y a los muertos a resucitar. Muchos desconocen que la misión sanadora de Jesús continúa hoy en la Iglesia Católica. Diáconos Jose Rivera y Rodrigo Reyna, explicará las raíces bíblicas de la misión sanadora de Jesús, revisarán los esfuerzos actuales de la Iglesia Católica para continuar dicha misión y demostrarán la práctica de la oración por la sanación. También se invita a participar en la Adoración, la oración y los testimonios.

MARCH 31: Bishop Daniel Garcia will celebrate the annual diocesan Chrism Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Austin. During this liturgy, the bishop will bless the sacred oils that will be used to celebrate the sacraments throughout the year.

APRIL 3: The Schoenstatt Movement of Austin will host its annual Good Friday Pilgrimage. All are invited to gather at 7 a.m. at St. Mary Cathedral to walk the nine miles to the Schoenstatt Shrine. Stops will be made to pray the Stations of the Cross and the sacrament of reconciliation will be available along the way.

APRIL 2-6: Diocesan offices will be closed for the Triduum and Easter Monday.
APRIL 11: The annual diocesan Middle School Rally will be held at St. John Vianney Parish in Round Rock. This is an opportunity for youth in grades 6-8 from across the diocese to come together in a conference format for a fun-filled day of dynamic keynote presentations, prayer, fellowship and workshops that help them grow in faith.

APRIL 17-19: Single women between the ages of 18 and 35 are invited to The Heart of Mary: A Discernment Retreat for Women led by the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary. The retreat will include time for prayer, spiritual conferences on discernment and vocations, and opportunities to speak with other women discerning their vocation. The cost of the retreat is $35.

APRIL 17-19: Married couples are invited to a Marriage Encounter Weekend at Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center. Catholic couples and a priest who are part of Worldwide Marriage Encounter will help couples take a new look at their marriage, priorities and lifestyle; learn simple, effective communication techniques; and rediscover their hopes and dreams.

March 20-22: Silent Lent Weekend Retreat—Surrender to the Mystery
Surrendering to God’s will is a daily choice for us to make and was modeled for us by Our Blessed Mother and Jesus. Maria Cuevas, a spiritual director and member of St. John Neumann Parish in Austin, will give two talks and Brian Egan will also give a reflection. Father Harry Dean will celebrate Mass and the sacrament of reconciliation on this silent retreat. The costs are $315 for a private room, $270 for a shared room and $170 for commuters.
March 21: Praying with St. Monica for our Children
What can we learn from St. Monica who displayed great strength and faith as she prayed for 30 years that her husband and son (St. Augustine) would embrace the Catholic faith after choosing a different path? Our adult children sometimes drift away from the practice of faith. This retreat day offers strength to continue praying and growing stronger in the virtue of hope. Several women who belong to a prayer group whose children have chosen a different path for now will lead this day retreat from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that includes Mass and lunch. The cost is $50.
March 28: Recibiendo sanación interior
Jesús vino a sanar física, emocional y espiritualmente: ayudando a los ciegos a ver, a los cojos a caminar y a los muertos a resucitar. Muchos desconocen que la misión sanadora de Jesús continúa hoy en la Iglesia Católica. Diáconos Jose Rivera y Rodrigo Reyna, explicará las raíces bíblicas de la misión sanadora de Jesús, revisarán los esfuerzos actuales de la Iglesia Católica para continuar dicha misión y demostrarán la práctica de la oración por la sanación. También se invita a participar en la Adoración, la oración y los testimonios. El día de 9 de la mañana a 3:30 de la tarde incluye un desayuno ligero y almuerzo. Costo: $50.
