JULY 25-27: St. Louis King of France Parish and School will host a garage sale on the parish grounds.

JULY 26: RED-C Apostolate will host a Family Retreat at St. Louis Parish in Waco. This year’s theme is “Hope for the Family, Hope in Christ.” This day of spiritual renewal begins with adoration and confession, followed by talks and fun-filled family activities. Lunch will be provided. The retreat will wrap up with Mass at 5 p.m. The cost is $50 per family.

JULY 26: The Central Texas Fellowship of Catholic Men will host the 16th annual Catholic Men’s Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Center in College Station. Father Kyle Nesrsta will celebrate the Mass. A reception will follow.

AUG. 1 - 3: Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Temple will host a women’s retreat entitled “Adapting to Life’s Changes.” Join Beverly Collin, former assistant director at Cedarbrake, as she invites participants to explore ways to grow closer to God amid life’s transitions.

AUG. 2: Father Kevin Rai leads Marian Mornings on first Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon at St. Elizabeth Parish in Pflugerville. The morning includes Mass, a teaching, prayer time, silence and time for the sacrament of reconciliation.
AUG. 2: St. John Neumann Parish in Austin hosts a Mass for Vocations followed by a Holy Hour for Vocations at 8:45 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month.
AUG. 2: St. Mary Church of the Assumption in Waco hosts a Mass and Holy Hour for Vocations on the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. All are welcome!
AUG. 2: The Knights of Columbus at St. Mary Parish in Taylor will host a fundraiser beginning at 5 p.m. at the KC Hall in Taylor. Proceeds will support the council's community projects. Tickets are $60 per person. Sponsorships are $300 (includes two tickets) or $500 (includes four tickets).

AUG. 10: St. Mary, Church of the Assumption Parish in West will host its annual Feast Day Festival at the West Columbus Club. A lunch of fried and baked chicken and sausage with all the trimmings will be served for $15 per plate. Small plates are $10 each. Inside dining and plates-to-go begin at 11 a.m. There will be games, a country store, and more during the day.
A live auction begins at 12:15 p.m.
AUG. 15: Diocesan offices will be closed for the feast of the Assumption of Mary, a holy day of obligation.
AUG. 17: Holy Qurbono (holy Mass) in the Syro-Malankara Catholic Rite is celebrated every third Sunday of the month at the chapel of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Pflugerville at 3:30 p.m.
AUG. 17: St. Monica Parish in Cameron will host its annual Homecoming Festival on the parish grounds. The day begins with a polka Mass at 10 a.m. Barbecue beef and sausage plates will be served at 10 a.m. for $15 a plate until sold out. There will be games for all ages, food booths and a live auction. Live entertainment will be offered throughout the day.
Aug. 23: All are invited to celebrate the Festival — Jamaica at St. Louis King of France Parish in Austin. The day will include live music, local flavor and lots of parish spirit.

Aug. 23: Triumph of the Cross, a Discalced Carmelite Secular community, will host a breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Santa Rosa de Lima Parish in Andice. Brother Vladimir Guadalupe of Sts. Louis & Zelie, OCD, will present “Why are they saints? Sts. Louis & Zelie, and their daughter St. Therese.” The event is free and open to all.

AUG. 23: The diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting will meet to assess the needs of our Catholic Scouting population and to plan events.

AUG. 28: The Austin Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (ADCCW) will host the 36th annual Rural Life Mass at 6 p.m. at St. Monica Parish in Cameron. A meal will be served afterward in the parish hall. The Mass gives thanks for the harvest and all those who labor to harvest our fields.
Aug. 31: St. John Parish in Fayetteville will host its annual Picnic on the parish grounds. The day begins with Mass (featuring Polka music) at 10 a.m. Barbecue beef, pork and sausage will be available beginning at 10:30 a.m. for $15 per plate. Other activities include live music, a country auction and games for all ages.
SEPT. 1: Diocesan offices will be closed for Labor Day.
SEPT. 14: St. Mary Parish in San Saba will host their Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the parish grounds. There will be a variety of food and entertainment, a cake walk, game booths, silent auction and more. Come share the fun!
SEPT. 20: Join St. Elizabeth Parish in Pflugerville as they kick off their annual Fiesta at 6 p.m. All are invited to the dance in the south parking lot of the parish on Sept. 27 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. The fiesta is Sept. 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the parish grounds. There will be family fun, games for all ages, arts and crafts, and live and silent auctions.
Sept. 25-27: Broken for All: Being the Body of Christ will be presented at Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Temple. Join author Sister Julia Walsh for a time of reflection centered on exploring the sacredness of brokenness, paths to healing and integration. Her book, “For Love of the Broken Body,” begins with the story of her facial disfigurement at the age of 25. Sister Julia is a Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration residing in Chicago. The cost is $310 for a private room, $265 for a shared room and $165 for commuters, all meals included.
